Bonusium: an item-exchange platform
For Bonusium, we developed the journey from an item listing to an accepted offer and contact disclosure. Users can select exchange, sale or exchange with an additional payment; payment for the items themselves occurs between participants outside Bonusium.
The task
Give participants a clear route from a listing to selecting an offer and revealing contact details.
What we built
Item listing and search
We organized item publication with a description and photo. The public journey provides categories and a city filter: search starts with an item and location rather than messaging every participant in turn.
Three offer types
We separated the terms: item-for-item exchange, a cash purchase and exchange with an additional payment. This describes different arrangements in one listing model and establishes in advance what the owner is willing to consider.
Selecting one offer
We provided stages for receiving and accepting an offer. The public description states that other offers close automatically after one is selected: the exchange decision is a distinct state change.
Contacts after agreement
We placed contact disclosure after offer acceptance. Email remains hidden beforehand; participants arrange matters directly after acceptance. The About page explains this process both in steps and in its FAQ.
Statuses and notifications
We connected the account to action history, statuses and email notifications. The public description separately identifies email verification, subscription changes and accrual history, giving participants context for their account state.
In-account support
We provided an enquiry with question details, a conversation and ticket-status tracking. Support is part of the user workflow, allowing access or account-state questions to be discussed in the context of a ticket.
The boundary between exchange and subscription
The product presentation separates item arrangements from paid access to platform services. The page explains that Bonusium does not accept payment for items in the exchange section; subscription status and duration belong to a separate account journey.

User journey
- 01
Publish an item with a description and photo.
- 02
Receive offers and choose a suitable one.
- 03
After acceptance, reveal contacts and arrange matters directly.
The result
Bonusium has a sequential journey: publish an item with terms, receive offers, accept one and reveal contacts for a direct arrangement. At bonusium.ru/about you can explore this process, statuses, notifications and support; a presentation is attached to the case study. Item payments take place between participants outside the platform, while subscriptions provide access to its services.
